About Us

“Us” currently consists of Kasha, a tiny Shiba Inu with a “saddleback” color pattern, and me. She is mischief made flesh and has startlingly curly tail. Kasha came to us from Midwest Shiba Inu Rescue; there are thousands of wonderful dogs already out there without homes, and the default behavior of shopping for a puppy at a pet store doesn’t help that situation in the slightest. As of the beginning of March of 2024 she’s been with us for about 3 months and has gotten comfortable with our daily routine. She occasionally flips pillows or cushions onto herself, and has dragged my jacket into the corner of the sofa, so it seems she’s okay with small things being placed on top of her. As long as she keeps smiling, we’ll keep stacking.

Daisy, the black & tan Shiba Inu starring in most of the photos, is no longer with us as of October 24, 2023. She was 14 years old, and every bit as soft and fluffy as she looked, and was tolerant of our putting things on her for content, as shown below. We miss her every day.

My art skills are awful.

Pour one out for Lilo. She, too, is missed.
